Application Start Date 28 Oct 2026
Last Date to Apply 17 Nov 2026

Scheme Overview & Benefits

Initiated by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Gujarat, this scheme promotes zero-budget natural farming by providing financial support to General Category farmers for purchasing two indigenous breed cows (Gir / Kankrej). Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive a 35% subsidy on the cost of two cows, up to a maximum financial ceiling of ₹28,000/-. Beneficiaries can avail of this assistance either through loans sanctioned by RBI-approved banks for 2026-27 or through self-financing after official approval. The availability of indigenous cow dung and urine enables farmers to produce Jeevamrit, Ghanjeevamrit, and Beejamrit for chemical-free farming.

Eligibility Criteria

General Category landholding farmers of Gujarat who have completed certified Natural Farming training conducted by the ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency) office. Farmers must have secured bank loan approval for the year 2026-27 or undertake self-purchase following the official sanction order.
