Scheme Overview & Benefits
To establish absolute consumer trust and boost high-value exports of certified organic produce, Gujarat Organic Products Certification Agency (GOPCA) provides 100% financial reimbursement for pesticide residue testing and crop sample analysis. Under this scheme, certified organic farmers and registered farmer groups (FPOs/CBOs) get their farm soil, water, and crop produce analyzed at accredited NABL laboratories to certify them as completely free from synthetic pesticides, heavy metals, and harmful chemical residues. This certification unlocks international organic export markets and commands substantial price premiums for Gujarat farmers.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a farmer or Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) registered with GOPCA or national organic certification systems (NPOP/PGS-India) in Gujarat.
Land records (7/12 & 8-A) with active organic cultivation registration are required.
Samples must be collected and sent to recognized NABL-accredited testing laboratories as per GOPCA sampling protocols.
Original lab testing payment receipts and testing reports must be submitted for claim reimbursement.
Online application on i-Khedut is open until 31/01/2027.
