Scheme to Promote Natural Farming in Vegetable Crops

Application Start Date 04 Nov 2026
Last Date to Apply 08 Nov 2026

Scheme Overview & Benefits

To foster poison-free, organic, and ecologically sustainable vegetable cultivation, the Directorate of Horticulture offers this financial incentive scheme to vegetable growers transitioning to natural farming practices. The scheme covers financial support for on-farm preparation and procurement of indigenous cow-based natural inputs, including Jeevamrut drums, Ghanjeevamrut storage, botanical pest repellents (Dashaparni ark, Neemastra, Bramhastra), mulching, and eco-friendly traps. This initiative drastically reduces farming input costs while delivering healthy, chemical-free vegetables to consumers.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicant must be an agricultural landowner growing seasonal vegetables in Gujarat. 2. Must be practicing or willing to adopt chemical-free natural farming (ATMA trained farmers given priority). 3. Access to indigenous desi cows for cow-dung and cow-urine preparations. 4. 7/12, 8-A, Aadhaar, and bank account details required. 5. Online registration on i-Khedut between 04/11/2026 and 08/11/2026.
