Scheme Overview & Benefits
An old-age pension scheme providing social security to small and marginal farmers across India. Under PM-KMY, farmers aged between 18 to 40 years contribute a monthly nominal amount ranging from Rs. 55 to Rs. 200 depending on their entry age, with an equal matching 50% contribution made by the Central Government. Upon reaching 60 years of age, the beneficiary receives an assured minimum monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 deposited directly into their bank account.
Eligibility Criteria
Small and marginal farmers aged between 18 to 40 years owning up to 2 hectares (5 acres) of cultivable land as per land records (PM-SYM, NPS, or EPFO subscribers excluded).
